Join us for a festive half day workshop! Make some cards this year for people to cherish.
These pretty bauble cards are made using fabric scraps. If you’ve never tried machine embroidery before, this is the perfect place to start. Get into the festive spirit with plenty of chat, mince pies and Christmas music in our beautiful sewing studio. Suitable for beginners through to the more advanced sewer.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The workshop runs from 9.30am – 12.30 and includes fabric, thread instructions and cards – everything you will need to make a set of unique Christmas cards. You also welcome to bring some of your own fabric scraps (cotton is ideal) if there is something you would love to use. Tara will be your teacher for the day – she has a relaxed, cheerful manner and plenty of experience teaching everyone from beginners to the more capable.
There are sewing machines, scissors and everything you could need on hand at the studio, however, if you prefer to sew on your own machine, that is fine too. You are very welcome to bring your own.
Please note that we cannot accommodate unaccompanied children.

ABOUT THE VENUE
Sew Different is located within the Dean Clough mill complex in a dedicated sewing studio with lots of natural light. We are located on the first floor with lift access. Halifax town centre, bus station and train station are a ten minute walk from the studio. There is free parking on site at the weekend.

Private workshops for solo sewists or small groups can be arranged. They can be run to a similar format as our listed retreat but you would have the studio to yourselves.
