Join us for a one day problem solving workshop
Are you frustrated with your makes that don’t fit properly? Or do you have a workroom full of unfinished projects? Sometimes you need that need a little bit of professional help to bring your garment to finished perfection. Join us for a full-day Fit & Repair Surgery that is designed to help you solve your fitting and alteration issues!
What to expect:
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll bring the project / projects that you are having problems with and we’ll work together to achieve that perfect finish. Whether it’s a dress that’s too tight across the hips, a blouse with sleeves that don’t sit correctly, a neckline that won’t lie flat or trousers that need a little hemming magic, we’ve got you covered. This class is run by our pattern cutting expert Katie who is an experienced pattern drafter with a background in military uniforms
What’s included:
The use of our sewing machines are included in the workshop cost, although you are very welcome to bring your own if you prefer. We provide a delicious lunch along with teas, coffees and cake to keep you going along the way. We also offer a 20% discount on any Sew Different patterns and 10% off Sew Different fabrics that are purchased while you are at the workshop.
The venue:
Sew Different is located within the Dean Clough mill complex in a dedicated sewing studio with lots of natural light. There is plenty of onsite parking (free at weekends). We are located on the first floor with lift access.
Workshop Hours: 9.30pm – 4.30pm • Lunch is included – please advise of dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Private workshops for solo sewists or small groups can be arranged. They can be run to a similar format as our listed retreat but you would have the studio to yourselves.
