Join us for a one day workshop to make the Hepworth Pinafore
Whether you are tackling out of your usual comfort zone, or whether you have the experience but would like to enjoy some social sewing, you will go home with a beautiful pinafore that you have made yourself. Suitable for those with a little experience and upwards, you can make our Hepworth Pinafore with help every step of the way.

ABOUT THE HEPWORTH PINAFORE
The Hepworth Pinafore is a super-practical overall with 4 spacious pockets integrated into the side panels. It has a crossover back with a wide overlap at the back. Recommended to be worn with leggings but can also work as a dress with the addition of a popper to prevent knicker flashing. The princess seams create a slim fit over the bust, gently flaring out to an A-line shape at the hip for comfort, style and ease of wear.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The workshop runs from 9am – 4.30pm and includes the cost of the pattern and a light lunch. Tara will be your teacher for the day – she has a relaxed, cheerful manner and a wealth of teaching experience. She will be able to help you with every element, from taking your own measurements to creating the collar.
You do not need to bring anything except your own fabric, thread and bias binding. There are sewing machines, scissors and everything you could need on hand at the studio, however, if you prefer to sew on your own machine, that is fine too. You are very welcome to bring your own.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Sew Different is located within the Dean Clough mill complex in a dedicated sewing studio with lots of natural light. We are located on the first floor with lift access. Halifax town centre, bus station and train station are a ten minute walk from the studio. There is a Travel Lodge and plenty of metered parking on site.

Private workshops for solo sewists or small groups can be arranged. They can be run to a similar format as our listed retreat but you would have the studio to yourselves.
