Join us for some dedicated sewing time on our monthly sewcials!
What could be nicer than spending some uninterrupted sewing time with like-minded people? Bring along your own project – anything from dressmaking to quilting, patchwork or embroidery – and spend time in our beautiful sewing studio sharing hints and tips with other sewists.
The use of our sewing machines and overlockers is included, although you are welcome to bring your own machine if you prefer. You will need to bring a sewing kit (scissors, threads etc) and don’t forget to bring along any fabric or patterns that you would like to swap. We will keep your strength up with a bottomless supply of tea, coffee and cake.
You can peruse Sew Different’s own range of patterns and fabrics and there is 25% off patterns for anyone who signs up for a run of 4 sessions.
This is not a formal teaching session but other sewists are always happy to share their knowledge and experience if you get stuck. Lunch is not provided but there are several cafes on the Dean Clough site just a couple of minutes walk away or you are welcome to bring your own.
Sew Different is located within the Dean Clough mill complex in a dedicated sewing studio with lots of natural light. We are located on the first floor with lift access. Halifax town centre, bus station and train station are a ten minute walk from the studio. There is parking on site.

Your first session is free, so come along and try it out. Please email to let us know you’re coming ([email protected]) so we can monitor numbers and send you the code to enter the building.
