Whether you are a beginner, or you have the experience but would like to enjoy some social sewing, you will go home with a beautiful garment that you have made yourself. Suitable for adventurous beginners and upwards, you can make our Joti Duster Jacket with help every step of the way.

ABOUT THE JOTI
Joti Duster Jacket is a loose and floaty over-garment that can be worn with a vest top and jeans or as a top layer to a dress. There are gathered diagonal style lines to the front and the drop-shoulder sleeves are full and are gathered onto a slim cuff. The neck trim, that runs the full length of the coat, works well in a contrasting fabric. The back has a gathered yoke and there are in-seam pockets.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The workshop runs from 10am – 5pm and includes the cost of the pattern and a light lunch. Tara will be your teacher for the day – she has a relaxed, cheerful manner and plenty of experience teaching everyone from beginners to the more capable. She will be able to help you with every element, from taking your own measurements to creating the perfect neckline trim.
You do not need to bring anything except your own fabric and thread. There are sewing machines, scissors and everything you could need on hand at the studio, however, if you prefer to sew on your own machine, that is fine too. You are very welcome to bring your own.
ABOUT THE VENUE
Sew Different is located within the Dean Clough mill complex in a dedicated sewing studio with lots of natural light. We are located on the first floor with lift access. Halifax town centre, bus station and train station are a ten minute walk from the studio. There is free parking on site at the weekend.
