sheer-top-orange-trim-sewing-patternThis sheer top is SO easy to wear and SO easy to make. It is literally just 2 pieces of fabric sewn together. Perfect for beginners or anyone who loves the current batwing trend out there. Batwing top free sewing pattern

neon-trim-sewing-patternThe fabric is was cheap, cheap, cheap! Bought from the blue cross sale from the Shuttle in Shipley, it was about £2 / metre I think. You just have to buy a minimum amount of 3 metres.

It is edged at the cuffs with a thin band of neon orange trim which makes something that could be a bit bog standard into something special and a bit funky. All the edges are created with a tiny turned over hem. Don’t forget to Stay Stitch your curved neckline!

And just to show how versatile this pattern is, here is the same pattern again but made in a really unusual t-shirting fabric. What an amazing print – clearly printed as a short run for some project – it was bought for a fiver, again from The Shuttle in Shipley. Looks great with jeans and is super comfy! This pattern is not rocket science, but that’s why we love it!

If anyone wants to upload a picture of their finished pieces to their own blog or site once thay have made them, just send me a link and I will include it in my post so that other people can see your versions.
