Click the link above to download your free PDF pattern. You can print it out on pieces of paper like tiles and stick it together to make a full size pattern. The first one is set up for A4 paper and the second one is set up for American Letter size. (APOLOGIES BUT THIS PATTERN IS NO LONGER AVAILBLE FOR FREE – please see the post for more details)

This pattern takes 1.25 metres of fabric (standard 150cm / 60inch width).

All my free sewing patterns are made to fit a size 12, but can be easily adjusted at key points to go larger or smaller. Have a look at the Making a pattern fit page for how to do it. There are also measurements on this pattern so it is easy to draw out yourself on wrapping paper or wallpaper lining if you don’t have a printer – or actually, sometimes its easier if you want to make adjustments.

Have a look at my post about this dress for helpful tips and ideas about which fabric to use.
